An application to develop apartment buildings at land located near Chueng Chun San Village, Yuen Long has been submitted to the Town Planning Board. The developer proposes to build eight 15 storeys apartment buildings along with a two storeys Club, which involves 1049 flats and 264 parking spaces.
In recent years, multiple major residential development projects are consecutively developed among the Kam Sheung Road Station area. In addition, the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) property has just been tendered this year, and the residential development for the site will begin very soon. If the Town Planning Board allows a thousand more flats to be built near the Chueng Chun San Village, it would bring extreme burdens to the surrounding environment and the traffic. The population density of the Yuen Long District has already exceeded the limit, and the urban area has been overcrowded. There should not be another major residential development in Yuen Long.

We object the planning application A/YL-KTN/522, the reasons are as follows:
There are already thousands of private residential flats currently being built near the applied area, while the residential development of the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) property at Kam Sheung Road will begin very soon after being tendered this year.
Approving a thousand more flats to be built near the Chueng Chun San Village would bring extreme burdens to the surrounding environment and the traffic.
The population density of the Yuen Long District has already been too high, the Yuen Long urban area has been overcrowded, there should not be another major residential development in Yuen Long.
Building multiple tall buildings at the country area would cause a mismatch with the surrounding landscape, damaging the natural scenery.
