Description

Town Planning Board,

Two developers submitted an application under the Town Board Planning Ordinance associated with a residential development, a proposed low-density residential development in ‘Recreation’ zone in Ho Chung, Sai Kung. The Application is to response the calls of the Government towards increasing supply of residential target of 470,000 units.

However eight 2-storey luxury houses cannot fulfill such demand. We have to protect our home, we don’t want to lose the recreation zone near us, sign this petition now!

Petition Letter

To Town Planning Board,

A/SK-HC/227, Ho Chung, Sai Kung

I’m writing to set forth my objections to the above-referenced Application. I have a number of concerns about the appropriateness of the proposed use, in this Application, the proposal is to response the calls of the Government towards increasing supply of residential target of 470,000 units. How can eight 2-storey luxury houses can fulfill such demand?

My objections to the Application are set fort below.

  1. Inappropriate Land Use: I object to the Application on the grounds that the proposed development of eight 2-storey house at this site is not an appropriate use for the location.
  2. The houses equipped with septic tanks and are not connected to a public sewerage system. As such, a large volume of polluted water will be flowed into Ho Chung river.
  3. Traffic Impact: The site consists of an one lane two-way traffic road that is used primarily for the residents of the few properties located in Ho Chung. Therefore, the road cannot support additional traffic for the frequent transport of residents to and from the houses. Any additional vehicular road access will have additional dramatic visual and environmental impact.
  4. The site is shrouded in greenery, construction of residential houses would have an adverse visual impact on the area.
