The Chief Executive of Macao Special Administrative Region, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Administration Committee on Municipal Affairs, The President of ANIMA Macao,
After the closing of Macau Canidrome company, many out of the 533 greyhounds currently living in the canidrome have received sterilization not long ago. They need volunteers to take care of their wounds. In case any complication appears, the greyhounds can get treatment immediately. The temporary kennel cannot provide an ideal living environment for the dogs because of the severe hygienic level and simple and crude medical equipment.
The volunteers are only allowed into the kennel on weekends. In consideration of the dogs’ health, we urge the Macau government and departments to allow the access of the volunteers on weekdays as well. Unite together for monitoring, so that the living and hygienic conditions can be improved to provide a suitable, comfortable, homey environment for the dogs and get prepared for the adoption project ahead.
